> I've then sent the exact same documents using my yahoo account and they can be opened no problemĭo you add your yahoo account to Outlook for Mac? If you send an Excel attachment, can you reproduce this issue? Any ideas?ĭoes this issue happen to all recipients? I've searched online and can't find anyone else with the same issue. I'm guessing it has something to do with Word for Mac that is the original software I'm using to create or edit these files before saving some as PDFs and others as Word. If I send someone a pdf I received from a third party, they open fine.
However, this only happens with documents created on my Mac. I've then sent the exact same documents using my yahoo account and they can be opened no problem (the same if I save them in a Google Drive folder and send the recipient a link).
The PDF has two different results, either a) They get the message 'Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open 'xxx.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachmentĪnd wasn't correctly decoded), or b) it opens but there also appears to be a second identical document that won't open.
I've tried sending a Word document and a PDF via Outlook for Mac and the recipients have the following issues:ġ. I'm having a really strange issue that I can't figure out.
